Logic Puzzle #3
The scene is six fellows sitting on the bench waiting to bat in a baseball game. It is an all star game, so each is from a different team. The six teams are the Cubs, Gators, Orcas, Pumas, Tigers, and Wasps; the player from each team will be referred to as the Cub, Gator, and so forth. They each have different numbers and different names. They have each hit a different number of home runs in the season and are wearing a different colored cap. Your job is to sort it all out from the clues below.
Bob is wearing the yellow cap.
The Gator is between the 4th player and the one with a purple cap.
The player with 1 home run is sitting to the left of player #11.
Joe is sitting next to the player with the blue cap.
Hank has hit 7 homers.
The player with 5 homers is not between the one with 3 homers and #55.
The third player on the bench has a green cap.
Joe is sitting next to Dan.
The Cub is next to the fifth man on the bench.
Joe is wearing a red cap.
Player #11 is a Gator.
The Orca is between #22 and the Tiger.
The player with the white cap has hit 3 homers.
The Orca is next to the one with 4 homers.
The 3rd player on the bench is not next to the Cub.
Dan is next to the player with the yellow cap.
Bob is the second one on the bench.
The Cub is #33.
The Tiger is between #44 and the player with one homer.
The player with 4 homers is next to 4th man on the bench.
Tom is next to the Orca.
#55 is wearing a green cap.
The first man on the bench is not next to the player with a blue cap.
The player with 5 homers is next to the Cub.
The green capped player is between the player with 1 homer and the Orca.
#22 is the first batter.
The Wasp has 3 home runs.
No clues exist for the last man on the bench, Sam, #66, the 10 home runs, or the Pumas.
